Picture of a double bass.
“Double Bass”
In shadows deep, a giant stands,
Its strings alive, its soul expands,
A wooden frame, majestic grace,
The double bass, its deep embrace.
With fingers gliding, skilled and sure,
It sings a melody so pure,
Low notes rumble, vibrations hum,
A symphony of rhythm's drum.
Its voice, a resonance profound,
In symphonies, it can be found,
From jazz to blues, its strings resound,
In every genre, it astounds.
A guardian of the bassline's groove,
A conductor's trust, it does behoove,
In orchestras, a sturdy force,
Guiding melodies with its course.
Oh, double bass, so grand and strong,
Your melodies, they never wrong,
A cornerstone of harmony,
Bringing music's soul to me.
So, let us celebrate this beast,
Whose low, enchanting tones release,
A world of depth and pure delight,
The double bass, a wondrous sight.
